This is a fine set of table linens from the Union Pacific Railroad. These pieces were used onboard, on dining car tables. They are very attractive in a brick / terra cotta red color with light stripes and UPRR woven into the fabric. There are tiny flowers along the borders near the UPRR.
The group consists of a table cloth (41 inches x 43 inches) and four matching napkins (each 17 inches x 19 inches).
The tablecloth has a maker label attached that says SIMTEX, which per the tag was a J. P. Stevens Company fabric. These are 100% cotton, made in the U.S.A. and machine washable.
CONDITION is lovely -- bright and clean with NO stains, NO rips or tears, NO broken or missing stitches. The UPRR monograms are perfect.
If you enjoy railway dining car linens, don't pass up this set. It would look terrific in a display case with china and glassware, or you could use it with care.
